According to Brazilian media outlet GZH, the traditional giants will once again use up their five foreign aid slots with the imminent signing of Ickerson with Barclays B side Gremio.
According to the Brazilian Football Federation, each team in the Brazilian league can have a maximum of five foreigners who are not Brazilian nationals. Despite being born in the Brazilian state of Bahia, Ickerson was naturalized in the country in 2019 to play for our national team. Under the rules of the Brazilian league, only five non-Brazilian players are allowed to play in each match. Therefore, if Gremio introduces a sixth foreign player, it will not be possible for all foreign players to play at the same time.
