In the just concluded
China Super League (soccer league)
On the field, Hebei's former goalkeeper, Yang Cheng, has recently addressed the issues surrounding the
national soccer team
The actor has expressed his views on the public opinion of the movie. Prior to this, he had hit back at Gong Hanlin on social media with a comment, "Your skit didn't make it out of Asia yet either."
"At the end of a busy day, before I even stepped into my home, I received numerous messages of concern from my friends. At first I was confused, and when I got home I realized that a seemingly random tweet had triggered a frenzy of name-calling. It seemed ridiculous, but it made sense. The puzzling question was, what exactly were people accusing me of? What does this have to do with what I'm saying? Did you guys read the whole thing carefully? Did you guys really hit the nail on the head?"
"And perhaps the reason for the sentiment is that I, as a second-rate player, am poorly educated, well-paid, poorly skilled at playing soccer, and tough-talking. By some logic, the men's soccer team seems to have been a constant source of frustration for the nation, while Mr. Kung's skits have brought more joy to the national audience. The idea of internationalizing the skit seems rather comical to me. Skits are a unique art form in our country. First of all, I am really an amateur in the field of art, and my funny idea is similar to the mentality of many fans, we always want to give advice to the Chinese men's soccer team, no matter whether these suggestions are feasible or not, this is just a kind of fantasy. But I would like to ask, if Mr. Kung can give advice to the Chinese men's soccer team, then why can't I give advice to the development of skits? Can't I love skits? If I make a mistake, then must your behavior be correct?"
"Secondly, can you not speak without culture? Can't one express an opinion on events? Is it only politically correct to blame the men's soccer team? (Wealth and strength, democracy, civilization, harmony, freedom, equality, justice, rule of law, patriotism, dedication, honesty, and friendliness) How do you understand these socialist core values, which second-graders can recite by heart?"
"Although my education may only be at the second grade level, my teachers and coaches have always taught me to be a ballplayer before I am a star. One can have no accomplishments, but one cannot lose manners. Being a man starts with behaving politely. (This was learned in first grade.) Respect others and be polite. Obviously, judging by the reaction to yesterday's tweet, I did a passable job, even better than most."
"Please raise the level of those who are pointing fingers, I'm afraid it's hard to touch the deeper thinking of the practitioners when they stay at such a level. Soccer is indeed not played well, (including me) not up to the expectations of the nation, or even up to my own expectations. This is a reality that every practitioner must face and we must accept. Criticism and discussion at the professional level is always welcome, and I'm open to communication 24/7."
"Sports is the best education, although the results failed to win for the country, but politeness, rational analysis, active participation, active communication, dare to take responsibility, I think in these aspects, I did not discredit the men's soccer team, and did not discredit the soccer people! Bravery, justice, and the courage to take responsibility, this is the most profound truth that soccer has taught me."
"Until now, there was no anger or antagonism in my heart, I accept your tirades, your way of venting, because that is your right. But I prefer to see messages of value, even if it's just mockery."
"Please stop kidnapping others in the name of love, whether you're in a relationship or you're a parent who already has children, you should know something about it. Stop saying that hitting you and scolding you is for your own good. Does hitting and scolding really change for the better? Does it really make a difference? Do you really understand what love is? Please remind everyone again to look at the kids who are learning and practicing soccer before spraying them and don't cut off their simple love."
