Tier 3 Transfer Window for 2022 Season Explained

On March 14, the Chinese Super League, Chinese First Division and Chinese Second Division clubs all received a notice from the Football Association:

China Super League (soccer league)

The transfer window for the first division will officially open from March 15, while the transfer window for the second division is scheduled to kick off on March 29th.

The transfer window for the 2022 Chinese Super League season was postponed twice: the window originally scheduled to open on January 17th was postponed to February 14th due to the delay of the 2021 season to the end of January 12th, which did not make sense to open the transfer period for the new season in just one week. This decision was seen as reasonable; as we entered mid-February, clubs received news that the transfer window would be postponed again, initially to March 14th.

On March 14, the date for the opening of the transfer window was finally settled: on March 15, the transfer window for the Chinese Super League and the Chinese First Division officially opened.

The two transfer periods in the Chinese Super League and Chinese League A this season are both one month long: the first transfer window (i.e., the winter transfer window), which runs from March 15 to April 15; and the second transfer window (the summer transfer window), which is tentatively scheduled to run from August 1st to August 31st.

The transfer window for China B has been postponed to open on March 29th and end on April 29th. According to the usual practice, after the completion of transfer registration, the league should start in early May, the probability of adopting the conference system of competition. The second transfer window for China B is also tentatively scheduled for August 1st to August 31st.

The biggest change in the transfer window of the new season is that in the Chinese Super League, China A and China B, there is no quota restriction on the transfer of domestic players. This is good news for many players who are facing wage arrears, and some of the stable clubs who want to bring in more powerful players to improve their overall fighting strength can also achieve their goal. Theoretically, it is entirely possible to form the "strongest all Chinese class".

Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan players refer to the 2018 Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regulations. Naturalized players are transferred and registered as domestic players.

In terms of foreign aid, in the first transfer window, the Chinese Super League clubs can register six foreign aiders, and the Chinese A League is three. In the two transfer windows of the whole season, the cumulative number of foreign aid registered by the Chinese Super League clubs shall not exceed seven, and the number of foreign aid registered by the Chinese League shall not exceed four.

Part of the team has identified the introduction of the target, some have been negotiated in all aspects of the conditions, after the 15th, I believe that will usher in a wave of concentrated official announcement period.

The Division III transfer window is open and the league is making steady progress in relation to the new season. There are still two issues to be dealt with, namely salary restrictions and access.

It is well known that after two salary limits, the Sports Authority and the Central

national soccer team

The association is mulling over a third pay cut, after it was revealed that one of the plans was to reduce the input limit to 300 million and the domestic players' salary limit to RMB 3 million before tax. In fact, this is only one of the plans and has not been finally confirmed. On top of that, there was a much stronger plan to limit salaries, but this plan was met with greater opposition as it would have been too big of a blow to the industry, so this plan did not end up flowing.

Of course, there is also a plan to keep the existing salary limit policy unchanged, supporting the view that: the current $600 million overhead limit and 5 million yuan pre-tax salary limit is more reasonable, the investment in the Chinese Super League can not be cut across the board, the club if you want to reduce the salary should be carried out autonomously, and objectively speaking, the current salary limit policy is actually a greater role is to prevent the next bubble, rather than become the club to cut the Inputs. All things considered, the team's seasonal expense limit of 600 million and the player's salary limit of 5 million are still relatively reasonable.

Another influence is the access review. The access review for the 2022 season of the Chinese Super League was very difficult due to the widespread wage arrears in the league. In this case, how to grasp the standard of access review is the key. Should an across-the-board approach be adopted or should the law not be held accountable? Is it necessary to introduce a timetable for dealing with wage arrears? And so on, all this is yet to be finalized.

Now, the 2022 CFL season is still moving forward under the home-and-away program.

According to the plan, the Football Association and the preparatory team of the CFA will start the inspection of the home stadiums of the Chinese Super League and the Chinese First League clubs in the near future.

Considering all aspects of the situation, the Chinese Super League in accordance with the original plan in late April to open the home and away match system has a certain degree of difficulty, but the relevant home and away preparatory work is still extremely necessary. Because the 2022 season of the Chinese Super League is likely to use "10 + 8 + 8 + 8" four stage or "5 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 5 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 4" eight stage plan, the Chinese Super League and the Chinese A can be in the early stage of the first match system, and then play home and away later.
