Recently, the domestic epidemic has shown a rebound trend, with Shanghai reporting new indigenous confirmed cases for several days. From March 1 to March 13, there were 46 new indigenous confirmed cases and 558 new asymptomatic infections. Currently, according to incomplete statistics, more than 100 neighborhoods in Shanghai have implemented control and closure measures. Despite this, Shenhua's preparations have not been affected, with the team doing business as usual and training progressing smoothly.
Head coach Wu Jingui has developed a meticulous preparation program, and the team is currently in the physical reserve stage. Since the assembly on March 1, the first week of training was moderate in intensity, with recovery as the main focus, while interspersed with two practices a day of high-intensity training. According to the training program, the team has not yet entered the technical and tactical bonding stage, and will continue to strengthen physical training this week. The number of players in this training session is close to 30, including Zhu Jianrong, Xu Yougang, Liu Ruowanadium and Zhou Junchen, who were on loan last season. Zhou Junchen has been in recovery due to a foot injury, and is currently recovering well, and is expected to move from the gym to outdoor ball training this week.
