It is worth mentioning that Wang Gang, who was troubled by the fracture of his right arm, has successfully recovered and actively requested to participate in this stage of training. In today's training ground, Gang's performance was remarkable and he showed excellent condition in the group confrontation practice.
Before the official start of the training, Coach Xie Feng personally led the whole team to welcome the return of Gang. The rhythm of training in Shanghai is still "two practices a day", and the intensity of training has been significantly increased compared to the first phase.
Taking today's training as an example, a 1.5 hour cardio run in the morning paired with a simple snatch session kicked off the full day's training. However, this was only the prelude to the warm-up. In the afternoon, the high-intensity confrontation training lasted for 2 hours, and the players went all out in the group confrontation that simulated the game scenarios. The coaching team kept issuing instructions from the sidelines, with Xie's voice especially loud: "Control the ball, find openings, and shoot more!"
After 2 hours of intense confrontation, data analysis showed that the average distance run by the players was 1.5 times that of a normal game, and the data of high-intensity sprint running also hit a new high.
