Recently, news about Shanghai Harbour's upcoming internal cleanup has been circulating, with some veteran and fringe players possibly facing departure. The potential departing players mentioned in the report include Yu Rui, Cai Huikang, Zhang Wei and Zhang Yi. These players were not given much of a chance to play last season and the upcoming season, and are not part of manager Leko's plans for the new season.

Nonetheless, the departures of Cai Huikang and others are not official transfers, but on loan. It is reported that a northern team has shown great interest in Cai Huikang. Tianjin media outlet "Today Sports" further revealed that Tianjin Jinmen Tigers are close to reaching a loan agreement with Shanghai Harbor midfielder Cai Huikang. The addition of Cai Huikang is expected to strengthen the Jinmen Tigers' midfield, especially considering the uncertainty of the return of foreigner Viktor Viktor Vinovic, the introduction of a back-row player seems to be particularly important for the Jinmen Tigers.

"Today Sports" also mentioned that apart from fighting for the transfer of Cai Huikang, the Tianjin Tigers may also bring in other players from the Harbor Team. Considering the fact that a number of powerful and experienced players have been cleared from the Harbor team, Tianjin Jinmen Tigers can't rule out the possibility of renting a number of Harbor players.
