In a stirring January 26th, the Japan Football Association (JFA) officially issued an emergency notice stating that a staff member in charge of security for the Chinese national team had tested positive for a new crown. Thankfully, the national soccer team did not have close contact with him. It is worth noting that this is the second recent case of neoguan in the national soccer team's security team, and the staff member has been suspended from work.
Below is the content of the official announcement from the Japanese Football Association:
The security officer in charge of the hotel where the Chinese national team stayed has tested positive for the new crown in the latest health surveillance. The officer tested negative before starting work on Wednesday, January 19th, Friday, January 21st and Sunday, January 23rd, and after starting work on Monday, January 24th. It has been confirmed that the person is no longer involved in the work and that the Chinese national team's coaches, players and other relevant personnel have not been in close contact with him. Therefore, the national football team's preparation for the match on January 27 (Thursday) has not been affected. It should also be noted that this person was not the other security officer who tested positive yesterday (Monday).
