
In the afternoon of January 8, the Chinese Football Association held the fifth gathering of the 11th Executive Committee in Chengdu, the city of Hibiscus. Du Zhaocai, Deputy Director of the State General Administration of Sports and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Chinese Football Association, and Chen Xuyuan, President of the Chinese Football Association, were among the 23 members of the Executive Committee, while 7 other members participated by videoconferencing due to the epidemic and other factors.
The meeting had a detailed understanding of the progress of the preparations for the second meeting of the 11th CFA General Assembly, and considered and approved the work report of the CFA and the financial reports for 2019 and 2020.
The meeting unanimously agreed to set up six branches of the association, including the Press Committee, Technical Committee, Referee Committee, Athletes Committee, Medical Committee and Field Equipment Committee, which will be submitted to the General Assembly for consideration; and also agreed to the resignation application of Mr. Zhang Aijun, the Executive Committee member, as well as the specific agenda for the second meeting of the 11th General Assembly. According to the resolution of the meeting, the second meeting of the 11th General Assembly of the Chinese Football Association will be held in Chengdu on January 9, the following day.
At the meeting, the Preparatory Team of China Professional Football Clubs Federation introduced the situation of club equity diversification reform in detail to the executive committee members, and the executive committee members had a warm discussion and made positive speeches on the topics of club equity diversification reform, salary limitation in professional league, soccer youth training, coach training and so on.
Du Zhaocai, Deputy Director of the State General Administration of Sports and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Chinese Football Association, pointed out in his speech that Chinese soccer is in a critical period of challenges and opportunities, and there is still a considerable gap between the performance of the national team and the public's expectations and the leadership's expectations, and it has become an urgent need to promote soccer reform. As the core body of the Chinese Football Association, the Executive Committee should deeply understand the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on soccer work, as well as the overall plan for the reform and development of Chinese soccer, deeply think about and explore the new mode and path of the reform and development of Chinese soccer, recognize the situation, and effectively perform their duties, and work together for the healthy development of China's soccer.
