Detailed match schedules for the seventh and eighth rounds of the third stage (Round of 12) of the Asian qualifiers. China's national soccer team will have to face Japan and Vietnam on the road in both matches, which are scheduled for 18:00 on January 27, 2022 and 20:00 on February 1, 2022, corresponding to the 25th day of the Lunar New Year and the first day of the Lunar New Year, respectively.
Up to now, 6 rounds of the 12-team tournament have been played. According to the schedule, China's remaining four matches will include one home game and three away games. The seventh and eighth rounds of matches are all consecutive away challenges.
According to the official information of the AFC, the seventh round of China's away match against Japan will be held on January 27, 2022 at 18:00 at the Saitama 2002 Stadium. While the eighth round of China's away match against Vietnam is scheduled to be played at 20:00 on February 1, 2022 at the My Thanh National Stadium in Hanoi.
Currently, China has five points in Group B, ranking fifth with one win, two draws and three losses, while Saudi Arabia in the same group is leading the way with 16 points, Japan is in second place with 12 points, Australia is in third place with 11 points, Oman has seven points, and Vietnam has zero points for the time being. According to the tournament regulations, the top two teams in Group A and Group B of the 12-team tournament will directly advance to Qatar.
