The article claimed that the Audit Bureau had been stationed at the club in March to audit all of TEDA's accounts from 1998 to the present. Meanwhile, the news about TEDA's former assistant coaches Wang Xiao and Chi Rongliang being investigated was also confirmed by Xinhua.
In terms of tenure, Dong Wensheng succeeded Gao Yingqin in July 2017 as chairman and general manager of TEDA Football Salon. Chi Rongliang joined the team's coaching staff in 2016, while Wang Xiao, the other investigated player, retired in 2010 and served as an assistant coach and leader at TEDA until 2015. He has been in charge of Hebei Zhuao in China B this season, and his work being taken away has attracted widespread attention.
