New Express exclusively reported that reporter Gao Jing disclosed that recently, Guangzhou's key naturalized player Gao Latter has reached an agreement to terminate his contract with the team and returned to Brazil by plane with his family. This decision signals that Golat may give up his Chinese nationality. Combined with the current plight of the national soccer team and the Chinese Super League teams, it seems that Chinese soccer is destined to face a cruel test this winter.

Due to well-known factors, Guangzhou's current financial situation is worrying, the team has been in arrears, the player lineup has not been fully assembled. In such a predicament, Golat had the idea of returning to Brazil.

Golat revealed that the termination of his contract with the team was not on the spur of the moment, but after a month-long deliberation, and said in an interview at the airport, "[The termination of his contract] is the result of an amicable negotiation between the club and me, and leaving is a choice that is beneficial to both sides. I've been playing in the Chinese league for many years, and I've been treated very well in Guangzhou, and now I just want to return to my family and be with them. In the future, I will keep in touch with the club."

With no place in the Brazilian national team, Gallart had obtained Chinese citizenship along with players such as Fernando, Luo Guofu, Allan, Ekerson and Jiang Guangtai. However, with the adjustment of FIFA's naturalization policy, Golatt, who briefly returned to Brazil, will have to wait until 2023 to play for the national team. This factor also contributed to Golat's determination to leave.

Golat is said to have joined Guangzhou (Guangzhou Evergrande) in the winter of 2015 for a transfer fee of 15 million euros, and during his time with Guangzhou, he has made 171 appearances and scored 111 goals. Previously, he had also played on loan to Hebei. This season, he played 13 games for Guangzhou, scoring 7 goals and 1 assist.

The termination of his contract with Guangzhou and his return to Brazil means that Golat may give up his Chinese citizenship and continue to play in the Barclays Premier League in the future, and it is feared that he will not have another chance to play for the national soccer team.

It is reported that Golat has previously been in contact with other teams in the Chinese Super League, but he has not responded to this matter. In fact, by 2023, Golat will only be 32 years old, and he is fully capable of becoming the centerpiece of the national football team's midfield.

Regarding his departure, the outside world can only sigh in silence. It is not yet possible to judge his return to the team and the impact of this incident on the other naturalized players in the national football team. Considering the plight of the national soccer team in the Top 12 tournament, as well as the salary arrears problems faced by several Chinese Super League teams, Chinese soccer has already felt the biting cold wind in the early winter.
