A total of 12 teams competed, and they were divided into four classes based on their performance in the previous tournament:

Traditional powerhouses

Tranche 2, which follows, includes our country, Southeast Asian powerhouses

and Korea, among others;

Tranche 3 is represented by the rest of Asia, such as the

and Emerging Forces in South-East Asia (EFSA)

and the traditional powerhouses of Western Asia

While the 4th slot brings together the traditional powerhouses of Chinese Taipei, Southeast Asia

Myanmar (or Burma)

and the emerging forces in South-East Asia

The top five teams (excluding Australia) with the most impressive performances at this year's Asian Women's Football Asia Cup will be awarded directly to the 2023

FIFA Women's World Cup Australia New Zealand

The qualification of the tournament. Also, two teams will earn a spot in the Intercontinental Play-Offs based on the tournament standings.
