Just as the selection of the new head coach of the Chinese women's football team is about to enter the "interview candidates" section, the AFC Women's Football Committee held its third working meeting of the year on October 14 in Kuala Lumpur. Considering that the FIFA U20 Women's World Cup and U17 Women's World Cup, which were scheduled to be held in 2020, have been canceled due to the impact of the epidemic, the AFC has decided to allocate the qualification to represent Asia at the 2022 U20 Women's World Cup and U17 Women's World Cup to the top three teams of the 2019 AFC U19 Women's World Championship and 2019 AFC U16 Women's World Championship, respectively, or the the host team.

At the working session of the AFC Women's Football Committee, President Kilorn began by congratulating the teams of Indonesia, Iran, South Korea, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam for winning a place in the main round of the new Women's Asian Cup during the international tournament in September, where they will participate in the final of the Cup, which will be held between January 20 and February 6 of the following year, along with Japan, Australia, China and hosts India. The final stage of the Asian Cup will be held from January 20 to February 6 next year.

The AFC also expressed its gratitude to Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Palestine for actively hosting the Asian Cup qualifying tournament in the conference system. It is understood that the last two tickets for this year's Asian Cup will be produced in Group A and Group D matches of the qualifying tournament organized by Bahrain and Kyrgyzstan.

The biggest concern of the member associations is actually the arrangement of the venue of this Asian Cup. Prior to this, India has been awarded the right to host the tournament. However, in view of the continuing spread of the international epidemic, and India's previous epidemic situation is also relatively serious, some member associations affected by the epidemic has withdrawn from the tournament in advance. Under such circumstances, can the tournament be held in India? The tournament can be held on schedule, are worthy of attention. However, from the AFC Women's Football Committee's statement at this meeting, they have no intention of changing the original plan. The committee emphasized that they have full confidence in host India's ability to organize a memorable tournament.

However, the AFC Women's Football Committee did not give any specifics about the details of the preparations for the tournament. The AFC also said that they have set up a working group to deal with all kinds of extreme situations that may arise.

It was also decided to allocate the qualification to represent Asia at the 2022 U20 Women's World Cup and U17 Women's World Cup to the top three teams of the 2019 AFC U19 Women's Football Championship and 2019 AFC U16 Women's Football Championship, respectively.
