The first round of the 2021 Chinese Football Association (CFA) Cup main round was lit in Dalian on the afternoon of Oct. 14 in Beijing. In a key matchup, Shaanxi Chang'an Athletic defeated Chinese Super League powerhouse Hebei by a slim 1-0 margin. In the 12th minute of the match, Ding Jie assisted Onuebu to score the only goal of the match with a precise shot in front of the goal. Captain Yang Hao was honored as the MVP of the match, and Shaanxi Chang'an Athletic became the first Chinese League One team to reach the second round of the 2021 CFA Cup.
After the game, Feng Feng, head coach of Shaanxi Chang'an Athletic Team, attended the press conference. Talking about the game, Feng Feng said: "First of all, I would like to thank the whole team for their fighting spirit, I asked the team to show a new look and actively fight. In the first half, we dominated and scored goals, but in the second half, we lost our physical strength and became passive. The opponent was not bad and played aggressively."
When asked to comment on the players' performance, Feng Feng said, "I am very satisfied with the players' performance, especially Yang Hao and Ding Jie. They played a very good role model and leader in the team, showing a strong desire to win. At critical moments, they were able to command the whole team on the field in time."
