Cannavaro's termination statement
As soon as a statement ceremony fell at the launch of Guangzhou Salon, former coach Carlo Cannavaro gave an exclusive interview to the Italian media, giving an immediate response to the termination of his contract with Guangzhou Salon. Carnavaro made it clear that the termination of the contract was mainly forced by the epidemic and that there were deep reasons behind the decision.
In the interview, Cannavaro confessed that the termination of the contract with the salon was due to the epidemic, and could not frequently accompany the family: "The current Chinese Super League has been divided into three phases, and each phase is required to implement the closure and quarantine measures. Although I am in good health, my heart longs to return to my family." He added that he voluntarily gave up 11 months of his salary, despite Salon continuing to pay it, simply to escape the restrictions imposed by the epidemic and to spend more time with his family. Cannavaro emphasized that the termination of his contract with Salon was purely out of personal choice.
Talking about his future direction after leaving Guangzhou Salon, Cannavaro's next step is still in limbo, but he is confident in his coaching ability: "I am strict with myself and always harbor a desire to win. My coaching career in China has meant a lot to me, and I've been fortunate enough to coach a lot of great players and be mentored by top coaches like Lippi."
