China's soccer team prepares for World Qualifier

On the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, China's soccer team is preparing for the third and fourth rounds of the Qatar World Qualification Asian Zone 12 tournament in Sharjah, UAE.On the night of September 21st, China's team had a continuous training session outdoors at the secondary field of Sharjah Stadium. Although the side defender Wang Gang was not able to participate in the joint practice due to the recurrence of an old injury, the team still carried out high-intensity training as planned. Among them, set-piece training was one of the highlights of the practice, from which it can be seen that the coaching staff has a clear technical and tactical strategy for the October 7 China-Vietnam match.

With the extension of training time, training intensity, practical teaching matches gradually intense, some players of the Chinese team appeared different degrees of fatigue reaction. In the training on the evening of the 20th local time, Zhang Linpeng and Yin Hongbo missed the team training due to injuries, and carried out individual training accompanied by the team doctor. Ji Zhongguo, a defensive midfielder from Beijing Guoan, also stayed at the hotel due to physical fatigue.

On the evening of the 21st, Zhang Linpeng and Yin Hongbo, accompanied by their respective team doctors jogging and other recovery training. The right back Wang Gang, who has always been "full-time", seems to have aggravated his injury, walking slowly on the sidelines accompanied by another team doctor.

The recent increase in the intensity of training for the national soccer team has led to the recurrence of Wang Gang's old injury. In fact, Wang was injured before the start of the Chinese Super League at the beginning of the year, and was not able to represent Guoan until the first phase of the league restarted in July. However, according to feedback from the team, Wang's injury is within control and he is not expected to miss the Oct. 7 match between China and Vietnam.

The high incidence of injuries and illnesses caused by the fatigue of the international players has led to a significant increase in the workload of the team's medical working group. In addition to the three team doctors accompanying each of the three injured players, the rest of the members are on standby to deal with any other unexpected injury situations that may arise. After two training sessions on the 20th, the Chinese team only arranged an outdoor training session in the evening on the 21st. In this training, the group confrontation practice occupies a large proportion.

Before the start of the group confrontation practice, the coaching team also practiced attacking and switching from defending to attacking in response to the technical and tactical characteristics of the Vietnamese team. After the confrontation practice, the coaching team also took a considerable amount of time to practice set-pieces and corner kicks in front of the field. Facing the flexible Vietnamese team, the Chinese team obviously needs to make targeted technical and tactical arrangements.
