The Asian qualifiers are in full swing, and in the second round of Group B of the third stage (Round of 12), China's soccer athletes faced Japan in their hometown stadium. The match was staged at the beautifully landscaped Khalifa International Stadium in Doha, Qatar.
Only 22 minutes into the match, a dramatic scene took place. Osako Yutaka made a clever heel pass on the right side of the pitch, and Kubo Kengyo then forced his way through on the right side of the penalty area, and before Li Ang could slide in to block the shot, he fired an angled shot into the far corner, which struck the left post and bounced out, nearly breaking the deadlock.
