South Korea hosted Lebanon in the second round of Group A of the third stage of Asian qualifying (Round of 12), with the battle taking place at the Water Source in Suwon, South Korea

In the 60th minute, Kwon Chang-hoon, who had been on the field for only 2 minutes, scored the only goal of the game with a precise assist from Hwang Hee-chan. In the second minute of added time, Huang Yisuke curled a driving shot that goalkeeper Mostafa Mata side-stepped to clear the danger.

In the end, South Korea edged Lebanon 1-0 to top Group A for the time being.
