The Chinese soccer team unveiled its latest squad for the second round of the Top 12 tournament. It is interesting to note that Wei Shihao and Yu Dabao did not appear in this 23-man list, while Xu Xin and Zhu Chenjie managed to make the cut.
Compared with the last round of the match against Australia, the list of this match against Japan, Xu Xin and Zhu Chenjie managed to advance, while Wei Shihao and Yu Dabao regretted to fall out of the list. Meanwhile, Liu Binbin, Li Lei, Wang Shangyuan, Dong Chunyu, Wang Qiuming, Barton, Guo Tianyu and other players failed to enter the 23-man list for the second consecutive round.
In this announcement of the 23-man squad, Xu Xin and Zhu Chenjie were assigned jersey numbers 4 and 22 respectively. Xu Xin took over the No. 4 jersey from Gao Junyi in the first match, while Gao Junyi switched to Wei Shihao's No. 14, and Zhu Chenjie took Yu Dabao's No. 22 spot.
