Barcelona is reportedly actively seeking to strengthen its forward line, disclosed the Spanish newspaper As. As the transfer window draws to a close, Barcelona looked at Manchester United star Cavani, but failed to get a positive response from Manchester United.
However, Barcelona have not given up on this. They are considering another strategy - signing Beijing Guoan's Bakambu. It is reported that Bakambu's contract will expire in December this year, which means his transfer cost will be relatively low.
It's worth noting that Bakambu knows La Liga like the back of his hand. He previously played for Villarreal between 2015 and 2018, during which time he appeared in 105 matches and contributed 47 goals.
Coach Ronald Koeman is desperate to bolster his team's offense and Barcelona's technical team sees Bakambu as an ideal option.
