On August 22, 2021, Beijing time, Xie Hui resigned from his position as head coach of Nantong Zhiyun Football Club due to personal reasons. He will go to Germany for further study to precipitate himself and get ready for another start. The Board of Directors of the club decided to agree to Xie Hui's application for leaving the club.
On the last weekend of March 2020, Xie Hui, a passionate and ambitious former international footballer and an outstanding representative of Chinese soccer's young coaches, took over as head coach of Nantong Zhiyun and led the team on a brand new green journey. In a year and a half, Zhiyun under Xie's command has grown at an eye-watering rate, stabilized itself in the Central League, and transformed into a highly competitive wolf team.
First time coaching, Coach Xie rose to the challenge and moved forward, leading the young Zhiyun wolf soldiers to play a tough style of the game, but also to the national fans and friends to show the Zhiyun never give up the spirit of the wolf. Between fine plowing and wielding, Xie Hui uses his professional talents to guard the glory of soccer in this city.
Coach Xie is full of enthusiasm in his work and amiable in his life. With one and a half years of coaching career and 33 official matches, Coach Xie's professional quality and work attitude have won the high recognition and respect from players and fans of Zhiyun.
