At the crack of dawn on August 24, La Liga side Las Palmas FC made a heavy announcement about the return of the team's former brilliant wide man Vieira, with the two sides signing a new four-year deal.
And just the night before, Chinese Super League powerhouse Beijing Guoan officially announced that it had reached a contract termination with Bieira. Since joining Guoan at the beginning of 2018, Bieira has played for the team for three and a half years, making a total of 88 appearances, scoring 30 goals and contributing 30 assists to help Guoan win the FA Cup in the 2018 season.
Vieira's return to Las Palmas this time around is almost tantamount to a career-ending four-year contract for the soon-to-be 32-year-old. Remarkably, this is Vieira's fourth time playing for his hometown team. Looking back at the second half of the 2019 season, Bieira suffered an unfortunate injury and was subsequently temporarily removed from the enrollment list by Guiao. After recovering from the injury, he opted to return to Las Palmas for a brief spell.
