Under the starlight last night, Chinese Super League powerhouse Beijing Guoan shook hands with midfield general Vieira with an announcement. Looking back at Biela's years with Guoan at the beginning of 2018, the player spent three and a half years with the team, making 88 appearances, scoring 30 goals and contributing 30 assists to help Guoan win the FA Cup crown in the 2018 season.
Shortly after, Bieira posted a touching farewell letter in English and Spanish on social media, bidding a fond farewell to Guoan:
"Finally, this moment has arrived and I have spent four years on this magical stage. Together we have won a trophy, played over 80 matches and achieved the best record in the history of the team in the AFC Champions League. Now it's time to say goodbye.
Here we faced athletic and personal challenges beyond our expectations, and we met them all with enthusiasm. My family and I will always remember those unforgettable moments.
I am especially grateful to Mr. Zhou Jinhui for his trust. I would also like to thank the senior management of the club, the sports director, the staff, the team doctors, you have made my life easier, and during the epidemic, you were even more considerate in taking care of us.
I will never forget the Guoan fans, your love and tolerance made me and my family truly part of Beijing.
I have nothing but gratitude for my teammates, together we have created countless glories and we could not have achieved these things without this family, thank you!
I have tried to repay your generosity in my own way, and what I do best is to repay it with soccer, and I give it everything I can.
From today, I will be a loyal fan of Beijing Guoan and will always support my beloved Beijing Guoan.
Forever and ever!"
