The choice of the new head coach has been in the spotlight. Once upon a time, one of the iconic figures of the "Clanging Roses" era, 55-year-old Shui Qingxia, finally ushered in the stage that belonged to her. From her playing days to her coaching career, Shui has been writing a legendary story in her own unique way.
The origin of soccer, halfway heroes
Shui Qingxia's relationship with soccer is quite dramatic. She initially trained in track and field at Hongkou Junior Sports School, specializing in long jump and pentathlon. However, the coaches thought that her average size made it difficult for her to reach a high level of performance and suggested that she try other sports.
It was at the age of 17 that Shui Qingxia first came into contact with soccer when the junior sports school was streamed. Incredibly, this girl who only began to understand the rules of soccer at the age of 17 was later able to enter the national team and become a first-class player.
At first, Shui Qingxia's basic skills and ball sense were lacking. In a coach's assessment, she could not even turn the ball over 10 times. However, with her unyielding energy and good physical quality, she was eventually selected by the coach and joined the Shanghai team. As her skills improved, so did her confidence.
In just over a year, the national team released its training list, and Shui Qingxia became the country's

Shui Qingxia on the field is known as a "desperate woman", full of vigor. 1993, during her stay in Japan, she was injured in an ordinary teaching game, the right leg tibia was kicked off, resulting in a serious fracture, the steel nails were fixed internally for seven years before the steel plate was removed. To this day, Shui Qingxia's injured leg still suffers discomfort from time to time whenever it is cloudy or rainy.
"My nose looks fine now, but I've actually broken it twice and had it reshaped. In addition to the time I broke my leg in Japan, I also broke the cruciate ligament in my knee." Shui Qingxia recalled, "I think it doesn't matter, after all, being born as a human being, God will always have to give you some small trials and tribulations for you to overcome."
The serious injuries that are unimaginable to others, Shui Qingxia just downplayed them as "minor trials and tribulations". This shows how strong she is inside.
With this "do not want to die" ruthlessness, water Qingxia completed the "bend in the road to overtake the car", in the soccer world to break into the hall of fame. 1986, 1993, the two Asian champions, the 1996 Olympic Games runner-up, water Qingxia are our country!

The reason for choosing to remain in soccer was initially simple. "The two coaches I met when I was at Little League were exceptionally kind to me, so I think being a coach can give care and help to a lot of people, I guess, and I would love to be able to do that myself."

In the eyes of outsiders, the unsmiling water Qingxia is a strict coach, sometimes launching a fire to make people some "trembling", but in addition to the strict, as a female coach, water Qingxia also has a different tenderness. "Many people have asked me what is the secret of success, I think the most important thing is the cohesion of the team, it is like a family, I and my teammates together, sometimes called each other sister sister sister sister, we are willing to work together for the common goal, less some calculation." Outwardly indifferent, inwardly fiery, this is the more real Shui Qingxia.
At 55 years old, Shui Qingxia should have reached the age of retirement. But now, she's off again to take on new challenges.
