Immediately following on August 12, China's women's soccer star Shen Mengyu posted an official photo of her signing with Celtic FC on her social media position with a passionate message, "Debut, success! Cheer for No. 9!"
Of note, Celtic Ladies lost 2-3 to Liverpool Ladies in a friendly the night before. Shen Mengyu made her debut after joining the club by coming on as a substitute in the 68th minute.
