According to the latest news from Beijing on January 26th, the Japan Football Association (JFA) has issued an emergency announcement revealing that a security officer in charge of the Chinese national soccer team's security duties has tested positive for the new coronavirus. Fortunately, the Chinese national soccer team did not come into close contact with the security officer, and this is the second case of infection among the national team's security staff after the previous case. The security officer has now been released from his post.

Below is the content of the official announcement from the Japan Football Association:

During today's inspection, we found that another security officer in charge of the hotel where the Chinese national team is staying tested positive for the new coronavirus. Prior to this, the officer had tested negative on several occasions on January 19, 21 and 23, as well as before starting work on January 24th. The security officer has been suspended from his duties, and the Chinese national soccer team's coaches, players and other relevant personnel are not his close contacts. Nonetheless, the Chinese national team's preparation schedule has not been affected by this and the January 27th match is scheduled to take place as usual. In addition, it should be emphasized that this positive test was not the other positive security personnel mentioned earlier.
