This week, an urgent notice about the upcoming preparatory meeting of the China Association of Operational Soccer Salons (CACS) spread like lightning to all the major clubs in the Chinese Super League, the Chinese First Division and the Chinese Second Division. The notice clearly states that representatives will gather in a hotel in Pudong, Shanghai in the afternoon of July 5th. It is reported that one of the key issues on the agenda is the selection of CFF board members, a move that signals that the establishment and operation of the CFF is close at hand.

According to the plan, the CFA and the CFL preparatory group will convene the three levels of salons in Shanghai on July 5 to discuss the next stage of the league work and other matters. It is worth noting that the official name of this meeting is "Preparatory Work Meeting of China Operational Football Salon Federation", which is different from the previous regular league work meeting.

For a long time, CFA and related departments have been actively promoting the construction and operation of the new league management organization in strict accordance with the requirements of the "football reform program". Affected by the epidemic and other objective factors, the relevant work until the first half of this year to enter the substantive implementation stage. Recently, the relevant parties have confirmed the person in charge of the preparatory group for the future CFA, which undoubtedly releases a strong signal that the CFA will soon be established and begin to exercise the functions of league management and operation.

It is worth mentioning that the publisher of this meeting notice is the Chinese Super League Company. As the CFL has not yet been formally listed and established, the league-related work still needs to be carried out by the CFL company on behalf of the company.

The notice mentions that the meeting will inform the progress of the preparations for the CFF and the next work arrangements, and put forward a list of nominees for the directors of the CFF. The role of CFF directors in the organization is similar to that of the executive committee of a world or domestic soccer governing body, and they will play the role of decision-makers in CFF in the future.

It is reported that a total of 15 people into the CFF Board of Directors, including the CFF President, Secretary General, and three representatives from the CFA, the Chinese Super League, China A and China B clubs have five, three and two people as directors respectively.

Of course, in addition to the above two topics, the remaining matches of this season's Chinese Super League and the operational arrangements for the AFC Cup will also be the focus of discussions at the Shanghai meeting. The CFA is expected to take this opportunity to call on the clubs to actively cooperate with the preparation of the National Football League 12 matches, the relevant plans are expected to be finalized during the meeting.
