Turkish media have revealed that Brazilian star Fernando of Chinese Super League (CSL) giants Beijing Guoan is about to move to Besiktas of the Turkish Super League (TPL). Meanwhile, Guoan is actively searching for Argentine striker Ramon Mijeres to bolster its squad.
Besiktas FC are reported to have reached an agreement with the player after lengthy communication with Fernando's agent. However, the transfer deal is still awaiting the final nod from head coach Yalcin. Once Yalcin gives his nod, Fernando will be invited to Istanbul shortly to finalize the signing of a three-year deal with a salary of up to €1.6 million per year.
It is worth noting that rumors had previously indicated that a Chinese club had extended an olive branch to Yalcin in the hope that the coach, who had led his team to win the Double Crown, would join the Chinese Super League.
Croatian media, on the other hand, reported that Guoan head coach Bilic proposed to the club to bring in Mijeres, a 24-year-old Argentine striker from Croatian top league side Osijek. Mijeres was honored as the top scorer in the Croatian domestic league after contributing 22 goals to the team last season. As a result, Osijek bought him out from Spanish side Alaves for a record €2.5 million.
After acquiring ownership of Mijeres, Osijek made it clear that the transfer fee must not be less than €10 million if the Argentine striker is to be released. According to Croatian media, the offer from Guiao was slightly less than that. If the transfer is successful, 20% of the transfer fee will be returned to Alaves. In addition, if Mijeres moves again, Osijek will also receive a certain transfer fee. It is worth noting that Guoan is not the only Chinese Super League club interested in Mijeres, as the international transfer market is quite complicated at the moment.
