China's women's soccer team has made steady progress in terms of points, although the ranking has dropped one place, still ranked 15th with 1,875 points. In Asia, the Chinese women's soccer team is still following Australia, Japan and North Korea, maintaining the 4th position in Asia. The U.S. women's soccer team, on the other hand, holds the top spot on the overall list with an absolute advantage of 2,197 points. In the upcoming Tokyo Olympics, the Chinese women's soccer team will be in the same group with the Netherlands and Brazilian women's soccer team, ranking fourth and seventh in the group respectively.

The Chinese women's soccer team has not played an official match since the elimination round of the Olympic qualifying tournament in April. The warm-up match against England women's soccer team in Japan on June 7 was canceled due to the epidemic. Nevertheless, the women's soccer players did not relax their training. Since June 10, they have been gathering at the training base of the Chinese Super League Association to make a final push for the Tokyo Olympics.

In the latest FIFA Women's National Team Rankings, China's women's soccer team is ranked 15th overall with 1,875 points, down one place from the last ranking, mainly due to Italy's women's soccer team's later advancement; within Asia, China's women's soccer team continues to be ranked fourth in Asia behind Australia, Japan and North Korea.

In the upcoming Olympics, the Brazilian women's soccer team in the same group is ranked 7th with 1,971 points; the Zambian women's soccer team is ranked 104th with 1,191 points; and the Dutch women's soccer team, despite the decrease in points, still maintains the 4th place with 2,035 points. The U.S. women's soccer team unquestionably occupies the first place in the overall list with 2,197 points, while Germany, France, the Netherlands and Sweden women's soccer teams are ranked second to fourth in that order. The next edition of the women's national team rankings will be released on August 20, according to the plan on FIFA's official website.
