On June 2, Beijing time zone came heavy news: the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) issued an announcement formally requesting our soccer association to bear the travel expenses of the Guam national soccer team and the officials sent by the AFC to the United Arab Emirates in our region, as well as requiring our association to be responsible for the travel expenses of all the participating teams and the referees of the matches in the region.
In the face of this request, China's Football Association quickly responded by announcing that the Guam team's officials in China and the AFC officials would take a chartered flight with the Chinese team to Sharjah, UAE, at 1:30 p.m. on the 3rd, taking off from Shanghai Pudong International Airport. In addition, the AFC will be responsible for the accommodation, meals and transportation of the participating teams in Sharjah.
Here is the official response from the FA:
The email sent by the AFC to the participating member associations of Group A once again clarifies and confirms the principle of organizing the remaining matches of Group A, i.e., our country, as the host of the tournament, will be responsible for the accommodation, food and transportation costs of all participating teams at the venue of the tournament. The teams will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the venue.
