URGENT: Cangzhou Lions' foreign aid Ahmadov overcomes trauma, prepares for 40-team tournament

In an interview on May 20, Cangzhou Lions foreign aid Ahmadov revealed that despite the serious injuries he suffered from two broken ribs, he is still pulling through with his painkillers and preparing for the upcoming Top 40 tournament.

Despite suffering serious injuries from three broken ribs in the Chinese Super League, Ahmedov insisted on appearing on the Uzbekistan national team's training roster. Facing the remaining challenges of the 40-team tournament, he said, "When I first came to Cangzhou, I was able to hold on to the game, but then the severe pain of the broken ribs made me try to participate in the game. After the third round, the doctors confirmed that my ribs were broken again in the same location, for the second time."

The injury caused Ahmedov to miss two matches in the Chinese Super League and he chose to travel to Uzbekistan for treatment precisely because more important matches awaited him.

Ahmedov, 34, is undoubtedly the centerpiece of the national team and it is his dream to play in the World Cup. He revealed, "I want to make sure that all the preparations are in place before the national team game. For the last five days, I have been training individually with my fitness coach and despite the pain, I have to give my best for the national team. I need to have some medication injected into my wound, which of course includes painkillers, and I am ready to play my part in the crucial matches to come."

Uzbekistan is currently in second place in Group 4 with three wins and two losses in the first five rounds of the 40-team tournament.
