Highlights of the Central League
On May 10th, 2023 in Beijing, China's first division was in full swing. Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) suffered a 1-2 defeat in the fourth round against Gusu Dongwu, despite a brilliant goal by Huang Yi. Wang Minjie's shot hit the post, but also left a regret. New goalkeeper Zhang Jin made his debut in the new season, while Class of 2020 freshman Zhang Chengyu came on as a substitute in the second half to make his professional league debut.

In injury time, BeiTech attacked with full force, Wang Minjie shot from inside the penalty area, the ball hit the crossbar and bounced out. In the end, BeiTech lost 1-2.

We thank them for not giving up when they fell behind, persevering until the last moment in difficult circumstances, and never losing confidence in equalizing the score. Today we prepared for all kinds of difficulties, we didn't repeat the mistakes we made in the last round, we kept our mentality well after conceding the goal, our formation didn't get messed up, we still played according to the plan, but unfortunately we still lacked in the key moments. Despite the difficulties, we still have to play the next matches well."
