Explanation of anti-epidemic measures for the World Qualifying Tournament national football team

On May 26, the National Football League (NFF) World Qualification Asian Zone Group A tournament is approaching a crucial point. Two teams, Syria and Maldives, are scheduled to arrive in Shanghai on May 31, while the Philippines is expected to depart from Doha on June 1 to join the Shanghai Red Zone. This change signals that from June 1, the four teams of Group A will gather in the red zone, how to effectively avoid internal cross-contamination, has become a major challenge to the national football team and the staff of the red zone.

Currently, Guam is the only foreign team in the red zone. However, precautionary measures have been upgraded to an unprecedented level. All teams are required to provide proof of double-negative nucleic acid and antibody tests before arriving in China, and upon arrival at Shanghai's Pudong Airport, they will be required to take another nucleic acid test and undergo medical observation at a quarantine hotel. After staying in the hotel, a new coronavirus test is required every three days.

The teams and staff will be accommodated in separate small buildings. The national soccer team is currently staying in Building 8, while the national team staff and media are located in Building 7. In addition to personal rooms, the hotel lobby and the second floor rooftop, other areas are prohibited from free movement. Media interviews with the national football team need to take a designated commercial vehicle to the training ground, the interviews are unified after the return to the hotel, other time is not allowed to go out without authorization.

In addition, masks, face shields and gloves are required to cover the training of the national soccer team. Full protective clothing is also required to cover the training of visiting teams.
