Cangzhou Lions wideout Ahmedov receives treatment in preparation for Top 40 tournament
On May 20, Cangzhou Lions foreign aid Ahmadov revealed in a media interview that he had suffered two bone cracks in his ribs, but despite this, he bravely prepared for the upcoming Top 40 tournament by injecting painkillers.
In the Chinese Super League, Ahmadov unfortunately suffered from cracked ribs, but despite this, he insisted on being included in the Uzbekistan national team's training list to prepare for the remaining matches of the 40-team tournament. Talking about this, he said, "When I first arrived in Cangzhou, I was able to participate in the tournament, but with three broken ribs, the pain was unbearable, but I still tried to compete. After the third round, the doctor reconfirmed that I had suffered another impact in the same area, which was the second time I had a bone fracture."
"Due to this injury, I missed two Super League matches and I am now coming to Uzbekistan to receive treatment because I am about to face more important matches."
Ahmedov, 34, is undoubtedly the centerpiece of the Uzbekistan national team and it is his dream to play in the World Cup. He revealed, "I want everything to be organized before the national team matches start. For the last five days I have been training individually with the fitness coach and despite the pain, I have to keep going for the sake of the national team. First of all, I need to inject some medication into my wound, which naturally includes painkillers, and I'm ready to play in the important matches to come."
In the first five rounds of the 40-team tournament, Uzbekistan finished in second place in the group with a record of three wins and two losses.
