As the curtain fell on the night of May 16th, Beijing time, Wuhan saw the fifth round of the 2021 season of the Chinese League Division. In this focus battle, Wuhan Sanzhen team faced off with Suzhou Dongwu team at the Hankou Culture and Sports Center, and finally the two sides fought to 1-1, shaking hands and making a draw.
After the battle, Wuhan Sanzhen head coach Alberto said bluntly in the press conference, "In tonight's game, both teams showed their own faces, both us and our opponents followed their own rhythm. In the first half, we tried to break the deadlock by attacking, but in dealing with defensive transitions, we gave our opponents a chance to take advantage of the game, and they used counter-attacks to make several close calls. In the second half, we rotated personnel in some positions and pinned our hopes on keeping the ball away from our goal more by attacking deeper. Our opponents did a pretty good job of handling the ball high up in the air and took advantage of a corner kick to score a goal. We then made personnel changes to ensure that our fitter players had more space to play. We utilized such a strategy and managed to find the cracks in our opponents. Even though it was only a draw, I am immensely proud of the players' performance. We put in a great effort to avoid losing the game.
