Central League battle report: a number of key matches ended, Guizhou first loss, Chengdu continued undefeated
BEIJING, May 11 - The 2021 season of the China League One is in full swing, and three matches in the fourth round were settled today. Guizhou suffered their first loss of the season to Heilongjiang Bingcheng 0:1, while Chengdu Rongcheng swept Beijing Beitian University 4:1 to remain undefeated.
Guizhou's three-game winning streak came to an end against Heilongjiang Bingcheng. The game was in a stalemate until the 59th minute, when Heilongjiang goalkeeper Qi Yuxi's long pass allowed foreign striker Evolo to break through to the penalty area and shoot low, resulting in a one-goal win for Heilongjiang Bingcheng over Guizhou.
Chengdu Rongcheng showed strength in another match, thrashing Beijing BeiJing University 4-1. Liu Ruofan scored in the 26th minute, capitalizing on a cross from the right side of Chengdu's net, and cleverly tipped a bouncing ball in front of the goal. In the 42nd minute, foreigner Leonardo scored a goal after a series of false moves near the arc of the penalty area. In the 55th minute, Liu Ruofan's header assisted Leonardo to score another goal. Chengdu's Gou Junchen extended the lead with a header in the 77th minute. Chengdu Rongcheng won with a three-goal advantage despite a goal scored by Ji Shengpan in injury time by the BeiJing University team.
In another key match, Liaoning Shenyang City defeated Wuhan Sanzhen 1:3.
