Highlights of the first round of the Central League

The 26th night saw the final three matches of the first round of the 2021 season's Central League draw to a close, with this season's title contenders Chengdu Rongcheng defeating Jiangxi Beidamen 4-2 in a feast of goals, Suzhou Dongwu easing to a 3-1 win over Heilongjiang Bingcheng, and Guizhou edging out Liaoning Shenyang City by one goal.

Looking back at the 2020 season, Chengdu Rongcheng ranked 4th and Jiangxi Beidamen ranked 16th in the Central League, and both teams have made reinforcements for the new season. Especially Chengdu Rongcheng, Liu Ruowanadium, Han Guanghui, Li Jianbin and other strong players have joined, making them the favorite to win the Super League. Both teams sent out their starting lineups for this season opener.

In the 33rd minute, Chengdu Rongcheng broke the deadlock by taking advantage of a corner kick, and Gou Junchen broke the deadlock by parrying the ball at the back post. Immediately after 5 minutes, the "Golden Left Foot" Han Guanghui kicked a "round-moon curved knife" near the arc of the Jiangxi penalty area, and the ball went straight to the corner, making the score 2:0.

In the second half, Chengdu Rongcheng's attack continued and He Xin and Liu Ruofan quickly capitalized on their chances to bring the score to 4:0. Despite the big deficit, Jiangxi still resisted and scored 2 goals in the 58th and 63rd minutes to make the score 2:4. Jiangxi then created many more threatening chances on goal but failed to narrow the gap again. In the end, Chengdu Rongcheng beat Jiangxi Beidamen 4:2, which was the biggest score in the first round of the Central League.

In the match between Jiangsu Dongwu and Heilongjiang Bingcheng, Jiangsu's 17-year-old Efirdin Eskal had an outstanding performance, contributing one assist and one goal, and becoming the biggest contributor to the team's victory. In the end, Jiangsu Dongwu won the match 3-1 with his outstanding performance.

In the match between Guizhou and Liaoning Shenyang City, Guizhou won 1:0 with Wang Xuanhong's overhead kick at the end of the first half. It is worth mentioning that Guizhou also scored three goals in the second half, but they were all ruled offside.
