Cangzhou Lions officially announce the addition of Xie Pengfei
On April 5th in Beijing, Cangzhou Lions FC officially announced that former Jiangsu FC player Xie Pengfei had joined the team's camp. This marks a new climax in the team's continuous campaign of official announcements of new recruits over the past six days.
Xie Pengfei, a forward player born in Guiyang City, Guizhou Province in 1993, is known for his outstanding performances and superb footwork on the pitch. He grew up under the Greentown youth training system since his childhood and has become an all-around midfielder with delicate techniques and solid fundamentals.
Since joining Greentown Youth Training in 2006, Xie Pengfei has captained Hangzhou Greentown's U17 youth team and in March 2010 he was selected for the first time for the Chinese national junior team. In the same year, he was sent by the Chinese National Football Association (CNFA) to study in France for one year at Metz.In 2011, he was selected for the first time for the Chinese national youth team, and then for the Chinese national Olympic team in 2014.In 2018, Xie Pengfei was selected for the Chinese national team's training roster and made his debut for the national team in 2019, and has been selected several times for the national team since then.In 2020, as a starter for Jiangsu Suning, he helped the team win the Chinese Super League for the first time. In his career, he has played 132 games for Jiangsu, scoring 17 goals and assisting 18 times, and 53 games for Zhejiang Greentown, scoring 6 goals and assisting 2 times.
Talking about the initial intention of joining Cangzhou Lions, Xie Pengfei said, "The Lions club contacted me at the first time, which made me deeply feel the importance of the club to me, and also made me feel the club's care for the players."
It is worth mentioning that Xie Pengfei also has an old friend - Zang Yifeng in the Lions Club. Zang Yifeng's introduction further strengthened Xie Pengfei's confidence in his choice.
