
On a thrilling October 28, the dust settled on the quarterfinals of the U17 Women's World Cup. In a fierce battle, Japan U17 Women's Soccer Team and England U17 Women's Soccer Team drew 2-2 in regular time, but lost 1-4 in penalty kicks, with a total score of 3-6, and regretted to say goodbye to the stage of semi-finals.
In the first half, the game was tightly paced with both teams scoring a goal each in just five minutes. Yuna Aoki's goal in the 24th minute gave Japan the first lead, but Erica Parkinson quickly equalized for England in the 28th minute. Yona Hirakawa then scored again for Japan in the 29th minute to give Japan a 2-1 lead at the end of the first half.
