Third Round Battle: North Korea's Winning Streak Extends with Cold-Cut Defeat of Iran

In the third round of the tournament, North Korea faced a challenging matchup against Iran, who made it to the quarterfinals of the last U17 Asian Cup. Prior to the match, many fans speculated that the DPRK's winning streak might come to an abrupt end in this match. However, the result of the match was beyond everyone's expectation. What was originally seen as an even matchup unexpectedly turned into a 4-0 victory for the DPRK, who scored four goals in the first and second halves, while Iran finally scored a goal near the end of the game, which was slightly embarrassing but saved them some face and prevented them from being shut out. In the end, the DPRK team beat Iran 4-1, locking up the ticket to the U17 Asian Cup in advance.

If the Chinese team can successfully advance to the qualifying rounds, we will have a chance to directly face North Korea in the U17 Asian Cup next year. This neighboring East Asian country may be a difficult challenge for the Chinese team on their journey. We sincerely hope that this young national team can play well and help us to return to the U17 World Cup!
