On October 13, a stone stirred up a thousand waves, a well-known platform forwarded a report by Korean media EDAILY, exposing the dishonest behavior of Chengdu Rongcheng Club in defaulting on the wages of foreign aiders and coaches, and this news, like a heavy bomb, instantly triggered a warm reaction and extensive discussion among all sectors of the community.

Dating back to 2021, Chengdu Rongcheng FC failed to pay bonuses to foreigners and players, including Korean coaches Kim Dae-yi and Kuo Tae-hui, and players Kim Min-woo, Andrigo, and Richard, after successfully surpassing them. The club's internal policy at the time promised bonuses, but now the management is taking a hard line on the grounds of "not paying wages for the performance and commitment of their predecessors".

Well-known media personality Miao quickly spoke out, saying that "brothers in other countries" has begun to take action, but in the face of the contract in hand, he confessed that he was not willing to easily go to court. Soon after, Miao released a seemingly "incoherent" text on his personal social media, but in fact is the depth of the interpretation of the South Korean media reports. This paragraph contains three layers of meaning: "anger" at the South Korean media, dissatisfaction with the "China Football News" for not revealing the list of people owed wages, and anticipation for the release of the list of Chengdu Football Association chairman Koo Chien-ming and others.

Recalling the events of September 27, Miao revealed that an agent had "signed two contracts for all the foreign aiders and the club", but the person in charge of signing the contracts either "hid in them" or had fled. Now, the broker demanded payment of arrears, while the new leader only recognized the Ming contract, Y contract ignored.

Miao's comments mirrored those of the South Korean media reports, with frequent references to "Chinese soccer journalists," suggesting that he may have been in the know and therefore so sensitive to the incident. However, it is puzzling that the incident has been exposed for nearly half a month, but the relevant management departments are silent on this, the "two contracts" issue did not take a public position. Why have the relevant departments turned a blind eye to this?

In addition, a recent notice issued by the Chinese Football Association (CFA) regarding entry into the 2025 season of the Chinese Super League requires clubs to submit entry materials, including confirmation forms for salary arrears and personnel. If the reports in the Korean media are true, Chengdu Rongcheng FC is afraid that they will not be able to enter the next season successfully due to the issue of salary arrears.

In the incident, both the agent and the club dare not publicize the "two contracts", not to mention the legal proceedings, the result can only be a lose-lose situation. Brokers may not be able to get the money of the Y contract, and the club involved may also face severe punishment.

Why did Miao "encourage" the broker to go to court, the motivation behind this behavior is thought-provoking. Perhaps he just wanted to see a scene? But in any case, behind this complex incident, the truth in the end how, still need to wait for further revelation.
