In their group stage campaign, Indonesia showed solid defense and did not concede a point, a performance that gave them a leg up to qualification and created an urgent need for naturalized players. Recently, Indonesian football has welcomed two young naturalized forces, namely Hilgers at the age of 23 and Eleanor Reinders, also 23 years old. Both hold dual Dutch-Indonesian citizenship. Hilgers, who plays for Dutch Eredivisie side FC Twente, debuts as a center back and has a market value of 7 million euros, and is regarded as Indonesia's top naturalized player at the moment. The addition of this fresh blood will undoubtedly present a huge challenge for the Indonesian national team. Indonesia is eager to accelerate the naturalization process by locking up a win in the fourth match.
Looking at the schedule it is easy to see that both Australia and Indonesia will not dare to slack off in their third and fourth matches against the Chinese national soccer team. Given that the national soccer team is currently at the bottom of the group, they will give everything they have if their opponents fail to score and risk going out of the tournament. For the national soccer team, if they still fail to score in these two matches in October, their journey to the Top 18 may actually end early.
