By coincidence, the Chinese swimmers were not spared a few regrets in this year's Olympic Games. Qin Haiyang, who was touted as a strong contender for the 200m and 100m breaststroke gold medals, missed out on a medal due to poor performance. Similarly, Zhang Yufei, although highly touted, ended up with only 1 silver and 5 bronze medals.

However, in the current Olympic Games, the Chinese delegation in a number of traditional advantages of the program harvest. Weightlifting, table tennis, shooting three teams each took five gold, swimming team won two gold, three silver, seven bronze, boxing team won three gold, two silver, badminton team also won two gold, three silver. Among them, Zheng Qinwen to tennis women's singles champion, picked a gold medal with a high content. However, in the much-anticipated track and field events, the Chinese team appeared to be overwhelmed, and the only gold medal was won by a female runner in the 20-kilometer race. More embarrassingly, none of China's three major ball sports made it to the Olympics, with the men's soccer team, women's soccer team, men's basketball team and men's volleyball team failing to advance, the women's basketball team stopping at the group stage, and the women's volleyball team being eliminated in the last eight of the tournament.

Nevertheless, the overall performance of the Chinese delegation in this Olympic Games remains eye-catching. I sincerely hope that they can make a breakthrough in track and field and the three major sports in the next Olympics.
