On July 28th, focusing on the stadium of Shenzhen New Pengcheng, the midfield soul Zhang Yudong, not only the double king of the team's appearance rate and playing time, but also recently accepted the club's exclusive interview, narrating the bits and pieces of his soccer career.
"You were born in Shanghai, grew up in Shanghai, the road of soccer also started from this city, so how did you get involved with soccer, and then step into the ranks of professional players?" The reporter asked curiously.
Zhang Yudong recalls: "I started later than most soccer players, and only began to play soccer in the first grade of elementary school. Shanghai has a strong youth training atmosphere, and my elementary school teachers appreciated my skills, so I gradually fell in love with the sport. When I was in junior high school, I had already made a small success of my skills, and then entered the Genbao soccer base in Chongming, began professional training, and step by step towards the road of professionalism."
"It's courageous to leave home to pursue your career dreams. What made you choose to join Shenzhen New Pengcheng?" The reporter continued to pursue the question.
Zhang Yudong responded frankly: "In 2012, I got the opportunity to play in the Chinese Super League at Shanghai Shenxin, and in those years, I accumulated a lot of experience in the Chinese Super League together with the team. But after Shenxin was relegated, I was faced with a realistic choice. While considering my life, I decided to try a new environment, first joining Kunshan, and finally deciding to represent Shenzhen Xinpengcheng in the Chinese Super League."
"From the Central League to the Super League, what is the biggest change this season?" Reporters keenly capture this topic.
Zhang Yudong seriously analyzed: "The gap between the Central League and the Chinese Super League is far beyond imagination. The competitive intensity and the level of players in the Chinese Super League are incomparable to the Chinese League One. Many people find it difficult to appreciate the intensity of the game through photos and videos, and only by actually stepping onto the pitch can they feel the difference."
"After the break, the team has picked up steam in recent games. What steps have you and your teammates taken to help the team get out of the rut?" Reporters follow team developments.
Zhang Yudong is full of confidence: "As a newcomer to the Chinese Super League, we have to be fully prepared in the first year. There is a big gap between the Chinese Super League and the Chinese First Division, which is a brand new challenge for our club. Our goal is to adapt as quickly as possible and improve our strength in the limited time available. There are only 30 rounds in the league and time is running out. My teammates and I are working hard and I believe our team will get stronger."
