According to the senior reporter of the soccer newspaper Lumi, Henan's foreign player Kovic suffered a tongue injury during the fierce battle and received emergency medical treatment after the match.
Lumi revealed: "After the game, I met Kovic and his family in the passageway, and learned that he accidentally injured his tongue in the fierce competition in the first half, and the wound was quite deep and visible. Nevertheless, he insisted on fighting until the 89th minute of the game before being replaced by Gu Cao. Fortunately, his injury is not serious."
