On July 24, 2024, Qingdao Daily's reporter Sun Fei disclosed that Qingdao West Coast Football Club has seen a personnel change, with the club's deputy general manager Zhou Xin being given the heavy responsibility of head of the first team's Chinese coaching team. The appointment does not mean that Japanese head coach Hisashi Kurosaki will soon bid farewell to the team.

The night before, Qingdao West Coast FC officially announced that Zhou Xin will continue to be in charge of youth training while concurrently serving as the head of the first team's Chinese coaching team until the end of the season. In the appointment statement, the club has high hopes for Zhou Xin's leadership, hoping that he can work seamlessly with the foreign coaching team to create a more accurate and adaptable training and match program to help the team improve their competitive level.

It is inferred that Hisashi Kurosaki did not suffer the bad luck of dismissal. It is worth noting that this is the first time in the history of the West Coast club that the position of head of the Chinese coaching staff has been created. What's even more amazing is that Zhou Xin stepped down as head coach with 20 rounds left in last season's Chinese League One, and then returned as head of the team in the 20th round of this season's Chinese Super League. Such a career trajectory can't help but make people marvel at the wonders of fate.
