
In breaking news on July 8, came the news that Chongqing Tongliang Dragons Football Club had signed Shenzhen Xinpengcheng player Xiao Kun.
Xiao Kun, a 188cm midfielder born in Changsha, Hunan Province on February 15, 1995, is known for his deft skills, keen awareness and open vision, making accurate tackles, defending comprehensively, and also delivering the ball accurately to the front field.
Xiao Kun started his soccer career in campus soccer, and became a member of the men's soccer team of the Department of Information Management on the campus of Beida University, leading the team to win the Beida Cup in 2016.In 2017, Xiao Kun joined Suzhou Dongwu through a trial and started his career as a professional soccer player.In the 2019 season, he was honored as "The King of Steals" of the Central B League with 118 successful steals and scored 34 goals and contributed 4 assists. In the 2019 season, he was awarded the "Top Tackler in C.B." with 118 successful tackles, and scored 34 goals and contributed 4 assists.
In 2020, Xiao Kun moved to Shanghai SIPG on a free transfer, before moving to Sichuan Jiuniu in September of the same year, where he won the 2023 Chinese League Championship with the team. During his time with Sichuan Jiuniu (formerly known as Shenzhen Xinpengcheng), he scored 10 goals and contributed 5 assists in 112 games, and made 9 appearances in the Chinese Super League this season, including 2 starts.
Recently, Chongqing Tongliang Dragons Football Club of the Central League announced that Xiao Kun has officially joined the team after much deliberation by the coaching and technical teams, as well as consultation with Shenzhen Xinpengcheng and Xiao Kun himself. This decision aims to strengthen the team in key positions in order to achieve the goals set for the season.
