On the night of June 29th, Chinese Super League (CSL) powerhouse Meizhou Hakka FC received a big news: Cameroonian striker John Mali will return to the team's lineup with a strong momentum, committed to assisting the team in chasing the season's set goals.

Born on March 9, 1993, the 181-centimeter-tall star made his debut for Meizhou Hakka in the 2018 season, a season in which he appeared in 43 games and shone with 36 goals and two assists.

In the 2019 season, John-Marie moved to Shenzhen Jiazhaoye, who were still in the Chinese Super League at the time, where he contributed 20 goals in 32 games during the season. At the end of the season, he chose to leave the Chinese Super League and move to the Japanese J-League, joining Fukuoka Hornets. He then went on to play for clubs in different leagues such as Riyadh Youth, Sporting Rize and Manisa.

John Marley will return to his homeland wearing the No. 28 gown to help Meizhou Hakka make a name for themselves in the Chinese Super League. In the first 16 rounds of the season, Meizhou Hakka won, lost and drew half of their matches, with a goal to goal ratio of 11 to 21, and ranked 15th with 13 points, which puts the team in the danger of being relegated to the relegation zone. However, the addition of John Marley will undoubtedly give the team a shot in the arm, and is expected to help the team turn the tide in the relegation battle.
