On May 13th, 2024, a match was played in the third round of the knockout stage of the CFA Youth Football Championship (Professional Clubs U15 Group). Changchun Yatai U15s beat Tianjin Jinmen Tigers U15s with a 2-0 record and advanced to the final round.

The knockout rounds started simultaneously in Wuhan and Weifang on May 7, bringing together 13 youth teams from Chinese Super League, 4 Chinese First Division and 2 Chinese Second Division clubs. Changchun Yatai U15 team fell into Group C of the Weifang tournament in the draw. The young team experienced ups and downs during their journey to the knockout stage. They had an unexpected loss against Qingdao Sea Bulls, a 2-2 draw with Liaoning Ironmen, and then a 2-0 come-from-behind win against Tianjin Jinmen Tigers. With one win, one draw, and one loss, Changchun Yatai U15s advanced to the second place in Group C.
On the special day of the 14th, Changchun Yatai U15 team will return to Yatai Jinyue Base to prepare for the first stage of the upcoming professional club U15 group final on September 10th, and prepare for this important match.
