Iraq, Japan, Uzbekistan and the Indonesian National Olympic Team stood out in the lineup of teams fighting in the quarterfinals. Ranked 134th in the world, Indonesia's National Olympic Team set a number of records with their remarkable performance. Not only did they enter the U23 Asian Cup for the first time as a newcomer to the tournament, they made it through to the knockout rounds and made it to the quarterfinals. According to the rules of the tournament, the top three teams will directly qualify for the Paris Olympics, while the fourth place will fight for the final ticket with African rivals Guinea. The Indonesian National Olympic Team only needed one more win to make the trip to the Olympics! One reason why they are doing so well is that most of the players in the team are naturalized. In comparison, Chinese soccer needs to work harder on the use of naturalized players, and we seem to be struggling compared to other countries! In the past, the national team was more cautious about using naturalized players, but now, they are facing a shortage of suitable naturalized players!
The upcoming semifinals will feature two exciting battles: the Iraqi national team will face off against the Japanese national team, while the Uzbek national team will challenge the Indonesian national team. The winners will advance to the final and qualify for the Paris Olympics, while the losers will have to fight for the third place. Unfortunately, the Chinese National Olympic team has already exited the tournament.
